Them: We need your help on an upcoming matter.
Me: Cool, whatever you need.
Them: Specifically, in what ways will you help?
Me: However you need. Just say the word.
Them: You will need to make a formal request on our behalf.
Me: Ok, for what? To whom? X office?
Them: Surely you meant Y office, not X office.
Me: I literally have no clue. What do you need?
Them: Please submit your request in writing by COB, detailing specifically the help you are providing.

Overheard one of my students complaining to another that "#chatgpt is useless for this course" and have never felt more pleased with myself.

The kid's grown six inches in two years and still isn't tall enough to be seen over the hood of these ridiculous death machines prowling our neighborhood streets.

Over on threads, I'm doing that thing where I change my profile pic to a random white guy and wait to see how long before the reply guys stop being assholes to me.

It wasn't how I'd hoped to spend my morning, but the honking issue has become absurd. Yes, I know you recognize us. Yes, I know you have a grudge against us. Yes, you have indeed succeeded in freaking us the eff out.

So, I reported that school bus driver today. The one that shouted at my kid, blasted through a stop sign where we were waiting to turn, and has lately taken to honking at us loudly when we pass each other on the road.

Kids should get to ride their bikes to school without feeling like the school bus driver is out to get them.

Dear people in charge:
Your new policies should not make it harder for people to do the things you want them to do.

TL;DR: how do you #podcast?

My super nerdy kid has decided she wants to spend the rest of her hot summer break creating a podcast in which she teaches parents how to help their elementary aged #kids with #school.

She's all in. First episode recorded, eps 2-4 sketched out.

What comes next?? How do you go from recording to #podcasting? Not looking to make money! Just trying to support her efforts to find her true calling and save other kids from their clueless parents.

Things are going very well for my #CoWorker #Today and it would be nice if he could stop gloating about it.

I used to think of blocked #BikeLanes and #sidewalks as death by a thousand paper cuts, but I've realized the more appropriate analogy is Russian Roulette. If you #walk or ride a bike, you never know which time you have to "just go around" is going to be the time that gets you killed.
