I'm so sad for older people who say things like "I would think about being trans/nonbinary if I were younger." Like, friends, you can do it now. It is never too late.

@evan Well part of it is that, as I understand it, ME is flat for elves and round for (most) non-elves, which somehow keeps non-elves from going to the Undying Lands.

@evan BUT it wasn't always like that. There are references to "before the seas were bent."

I just described the Earth as "Like Middle Earth but real".

Another thing you have to remember about Earth is that unlike Middle Earth, it's round for everybody.

Every time I email someone I don't really know (which is not often) and they take a couple days to email me back, I have this horrible fear that they have googled me, judged me by my social media, and found me lacking.

I recently emailed a rabbi, and when he didn't reply for two days, the more reasonable part of my brain was like "It's the holidays, this is not an unusual amount of time, and he's probably busy." But the rest of my brain was like "Maybe he found an archive of that time I did an extended thread about which Pokemon are kosher to eat on Twitter".
