@norsebaptist Literally any unmodified political position can end up incompatible with Christianity. It's not the political ideology so much as making it submit to our Lord that matters.
The king says that we must not befriend those who are "given to anger." Ideally, the hotheaded, hair-trigger tempered guy would have no friends. Best case scenario, everyone avoids him because he's destructive and unpleasable, and teaches others to do the same. The hope is that perhaps his lonesomeness will lead him to a change of heart.
Thank God that happened to me by the way, I used to be that angry guy when I was a teenager. I ended up with no friends and through a long period of isolation learned to quit processing everything through a lens of "what makes me angry today?"
Ever notice how the pro-homo people, when they claim to be Christians, won't listen to Scripture? Or how they twist Scripture into knots? Not just them, but a whole host of perverts, degenerates and freaks are out there who will refuse to listen. Let's dig into the simple reason why that's the case.
@lykanthrocide@fkq1q2r2 Matthew 28:19-20, Baptism is the first step of being a disciple of Christ. Mark 16:16, whoever believes and is Baptized shall be saved. Acts 2:38, Baptism confers the forgiveness of sins which Christ won on the Cross. Romans 6:1-4, whoever is Baptized is united to Christ in both His death and Resurrection. Colossians 2:11-12, Baptism replaces circumcision as the means by which one is entered into Christ's Kingdom.
And as we see from Pentecost and the baptism of the Ethiopian in Acts, this means water baptism performed in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. That means that, per John 3:5, Baptism as a Sacrament confers regeneration by virtue of the Holy Spirit's involvement with the rite.
It is the normative way by which people are regenerated, so it is a necessary part of salvation, as St. Peter says plainly in 1 Peter 3:21. There may well be exceptions to the rule, but that only demonstrates the validity of the rule generally.
Later in the morning I did 20 minutes of mobility/flexibility work and 10 minutes of isometrics
In the early afternoon I did 25 minutes of cardio, then calisthenics: 3x50 seconds of pushups and air squats 5 minutes straight of leg lifts, 5 minutes straight of floor reverse hypers
In the evening I did 20 minutes of kata practice, then 20 minutes of heavy bag work, 20 minutes of nunchuck practice (using a solid steel one).
The heavy bag work was a single combination (side kick, jab, cross, body hook) done a hundred times per side. After each ten, I'd add movement, feints, shuffles, etc. so it wasn't just hitting it mindlessly.
Here's the weight I used for crunches, a 40lb log with handles carved in that a friend made for me.
Look at this pathetic cretin refusing to live life. His contentless philosophy is absolutely worthless, despite its current popularity. Let's pop a bubble tonight.
@Shadowman311 The Church is currently more busy condemning "Nazis" than people who have literal abortion fetishes. Unspeakable depravity is basically ignored because they think Adolph Hitler, who has been dead for 80 years, is more dangerous to society. Allow that to sink in.
This is the reddit page the post came from. We have entered the stage of wickedness in the west where people are literally getting off to babies being murdered. There is an actual group of people who derive orgasmic pleasure from babies dying. This "community" also finds fellowship with those who have mutilated their bodies pretending to be the opposite sex. Right now there are men who take estrogen pills and cross-dress furiously jerking it to the thought of being a woman so they could kill a baby, and there are women cheering these men on. To say that this is merely the speck in your neighbor's eye is to approve of their sin and say this is acceptable in society. It isn't and people should not be permitted to continue in this insanity.
This is more common a mistake than you'd think, lots of people believe their faith in the Church makes them a good Christian. "Oh our leaders will teach me well. Oh our congregations will take care of my needs."
The problem is, all too often the Church is a hot car with a wasp infestation - and you're the dog trapped inside. One wrong move and you're stung, but if you do nothing you're toast.
When she's at her best, the Church does a mediocre job of preaching the Gospel, reaching the lost and caring for the poor. At her worst she actively does the opposite of all these things. Trusting the ecclesia for everything is like trusting a spouse that can't quite get over their heroin addiction.
But if you prioritize our Lord, seeking the Father's provisions and the Son's redemption and the Spirit's holiness, then that focus will show you the God who never lets you down the way the Church does. When you meet Him at the preaching of the Word, when you are before His presence at the Eucharist, then the instability of the outside world and in your congregation doesn't matter. Sure, you and I must still carry on and go about the business of our congregations, but we are not so enmeshed in it that we have a crisis of faith when the churches inevitably fail us. Look to the Lord my friends.
