You think you can get away with saying that nonsense to me over the Internet? Think again, erring brother. @Nudhul @nugger @matty Guard dogs that you expect to experience violence ought to have their ears cropped. An ear injury in a dog takes forever to heal and has a greater risk of infection. If your dog is going to be protecting you from violent types on the regular, it's a necessary evil.
But if you have a guard dog for the home, and it's a family dog, then no cropping is necessary. Most dogs shouldn't have the operation (I didn't crop my dobie's ears). -

Feminism exists when women are not aware of how much they rely on men. All of our amenities, logistics, utilities, and security depends on men getting up and going to work. If every man on the planet took a day off and did nothing - for just 24 hours - the world economy would crash and millions would die. Food would not be delivered to grocers, medicine would not be administered to patients, electricity would not be generated, criminals would have even more anarchic freedom, and heating in cold areas would fail - just to name a few catastrophes. The greatest lie ever told to young men is that they are disposable, when in fact they are merely being told this to blind them to their value. A young man ought to be told "without you and other men, this world stops turning and everyone dies."
So again feminism is only going to exist if women do not understand this fact. Men are doing all the work that provides for women's needs, so it is right that men rule over women. Such was ordained by God from the very beginning. Perhaps some women are aware of this perennial dynamic, but they resent that fact to the point of irrationally rebelling against it; but that is just a shift from ignorance to delusion. So long as a woman is aware of and honest about her total dependence on the work of men, she cannot be a feminist.
The impact of feminism, brought about by modern conveniences appearing to separate us from our frailties, has led to men receiving the "you are disposable" message from kindergarten to college. Their response has been to check out of society at large. It is a simple response: "Don't need me? Don't want me? Fine then, I'll take my leave." We are now starting to reap the fruits of millions of young men responding in this way, as the economy stagnates and people are far less secure. Conservatives respond by making demands (presenting responsibility without authority, "you lazy entitled X-box playing losers!"), while liberals crazily believe that men are no longer needed ("automation means we don't need you!!!"). Both are delusional, because men aren't going to come back and make things function again unless they receive something for it: respect, authority, and due compensation. Reestablish that, and we'll see things improve. -

"Eat to live" is objectively superior to "Live to eat."
If you only consume what you need to keep going, then not only will you be healthier than your hedonic friends, but an open secret is that food will taste better for you. Since not every meal has to be this big succulent feast, you teach your taste buds to appreciate the simple flavors God has given to each kind of food out there. Since you're hungrier more often, eating becomes more enjoyable even if it's just a protein shake and an apple. -

Laymen complaining about "weak pastors," ask yourself some questions:
-Who extends a call to these bad pastors?
-What do laity like to do to good pastors?
-What does St. Paul say about the kind of ministers people will actually want during the end times?
-Are faithful pastors rewarded by laity for their faithfulness or punished?
Most of the time I am more than happy to go after my contemporaries in ministry and tell them we need to clean up our act. It falls on deaf ears.
One of the biggest reasons for this is that the laity have ridden the secularism carousel and now they've hit the wall.
They went after the jerks, the players, the pickup artists ear ticklers, and after they've been hurt for decades they come to the faithful guys and make all sorts of demands on them and want society to police them.
My brother in Christ, you hate worldly pastors, but categorically laity just wanted those worldly guys and punished pastors who weren't.
I'm NOT talking about the Catacomb Synod laity or any other group of Pietists. I never met a Pietist layman who wasn't a cut above the rest. But the people who hate clergy categorically are no better than aging feminists. Think about it! -
