@dansup @NiemPseu @pixelfed I adhere to a very simple rule when thinking about interactions with persons co-located with those with businesses - people should be able to follow business, businesses must not be able to follow people (or target them otherwise).

A simple fix, perhaps, could be to release the link shortening logic as a tiny spec that can outlive the service itself.

Pandemic necessitated that I have a light workstation that could be replicated remotely (I got stuck without my laptop in a different city). Moved to nvim for my scala codebase at that time. Vim to emacs happened cuz #orgmode and as I kept looking for tools to be nimble. Guix was a natural next step! -

Fediverse played a part too - all cool people I followed here were using emacs/writing lisps. Other places that Devs hangout at don't know what they are missing out on. I was literally laughed at in a session at BarCamp, Bangalore for suggesting org as an effective tool. -
