there were a number of times i lost credit for selecting the wrong evidence, and when i selected something else, morgan made exactly the argument i wanted her to make the first time. but whatever

my elitist take is that if you're going to say "DOOM runs on everything" you'd better at least be starting with the actual doom source code. if you write a minimal first person shooter that looks like doom, for a calculator, it's not true that the calculator "runs doom". you wrote a game for the calculator, with the calculator in mind

if you have to make some adjustments to the source code to meet the hardware where it's at, fine. but you do have to be starting from the actual game doom if i'm going to accept "it runs doom"
