I am looking for #fediHelp. I intend to move my #ebook consumption away from #amazon. To close my account, but keep the books and the #kindle as long as it works.

I got #calibre and the deDRM plug-in, but I have yet to get it to work.

I found plenty of conflicting info online, some of it did not work (anymore). So I am a little lost at this point, and I'd be happy about pointers from people who have already done what I plan to.

After the whole #recall shebang, I decided to finally leave #Windows for good. So I'm currently checking out #LinuxMint - and I am very much in love.

Biggest fear: Whether #Gaming was possible for a noob. Until I installed the #steam client and found out that all my current obsessions run on #Linux - including #BaldursGate3. ❤️

As utter noob willing to learn, I suspect the #fediverse is one of the best places to be.

Das Gesetz wurde am Freitag von #DieLinke, #SPD und #DieGrünen beschlossen. Eigentlich hat Rot-Rot-Grün keine Mehrheit. Die Reihen der Opposition von #CDU, #AfD und #FDP waren bei der Abstimmung aber nicht mehr komplett.

Genau die Parteien, die am meisten von Lobbyzuwendungen profitieren, haben sich jetzt also ein Lobbyregister erschwänzt. Können wir das bitte hart feiern?

I was referring more to the "hard habit to break" part, and what that may imply about both those who are part of the *some*, and those who aren't.

I hope you can see where my comment is coming from, and that I'm not responding to you with ill intent. Just with the plea to maybe revisit your words, and consider the spaces in between from a different angle.

For non-Germans: #AxelSpringer publishing, particularly the #BILD, is essentially the German print equivalent of #FoxNews. They are well-known for spreading false information. Adding oil to fires of hate, fear, and envy sells their papers.

If this is the quality of sources #ChatGPT is built on, it's bound to be a far-right stochastic shit mill.
