I'm legitimately concerned that this is a real possibility. People can't question the morality of a war they've already (simulated) participating in.
Add in the usual algorithmic control and dehumanizing propaganda and I think it's legitimately far more terrifying than what "AI" can do...

I get the logic but I legitimately think fighting about politics in open source is dumb.
I definitely wouldn't put my hopes on politically driven forks.
Getting sane (or the right kind of insane 😉) people into FOSS should always be the priority.

@silverpill@mitra.social biggest problem would be GPU support, I don't know about the nvidia side but on AMD you'd want ROCM support.
There are models like gemma optimized for running on CPU.
So it's definitely possible, but I have no idea how well...

I tried self-hosted AI agents so you don't have to!
I wanted to see what options were available and took n8n and ollama for a spin to see what was possible.
There are some pointed criticisms about the entire concept, but I can definitely appreciate why people find the idea attractive.
