How on Earth does this run at a loss? I spent many hours there as a kid, and it is a flat field with a toilet block. That's all.
Their own numbers in the article say that 2300 people camped there in the last full year. With permits costing £100, that's £230,000 is it not?
How does cutting grass and cleaning a toilet block cost that much? Hell, pay be £50k a year, and I'll do it.

@goatsarah this is exactly the issue I've had for a long time. The arguments for changing how Mastodon works, how it is moderated, etc, are seemingly mostly from Americans that are trying to frame everything from a US perspective. It's infuriating.
There's more Europeans than Americans, surely we can have one place which suits us more than them?
