We already have that. It's a text field. Is there a situation where you would only want to enter emoji but not allow text?

Personally I love being able to freely mix emoji into text without anything breaking.

... Meanwhile Tumblr is joining ActivityPub.

I wonder if that's just a desperate attempt to become relevant again?
Or maybe importing content from the fediverse to display ad's alongside it?

I'm not sure. I haven't used Tumblr since they started banning pictures of sand-dunes.
