On recommendation from other federated admins, Pawb.Social will be affecting defederation against linuxrocks.online for the following reasons:

• Lack of moderation: Moderation of basic decencies is expected and required for any instances Pawb.Social federates with, including reasonable rules or community guidelines. The team there have openly embraced content that is objectively transphobic, conspiracy-oriented, and anti-LGBTQ+.

• Harassment of reporters: No admin or moderator of an instance should release report information, let alone try to go after remote users for their reports.

• Platforming of hate speech: We will not tolerate federation with any instance that openly abides by the kind of content that adversely affects the lives of our users, nor puts them in a place where they have to defend their right to exist.

He didn't want to deal with that so he sold his business and got out.

ANYWAY, back on topic. So the dealer gets money from the bank to buy cars from the dealer to sell to the customer. They then get to pay interest for that. And the longer a car is on the lot, the more interest accrues.

The more interest accrues, the more that eats into the dealer's profits. And the more pressure the dealer has to sell the vehicle, potentially, but not always, at a loss.

So you want cars that have been sitting on dealer lots for a while, cause there's a good chance a deal can be had.

There are so many dealerships that are struggling to sell certain cars. The pandemic was definitely a seller's market thanks to the chip shortage. But we are so very clearly in a buyer's market where prices should be lowering in order for people to get a nice affordable car.

There is nothing that a dishonest car salesman hates more than an informed car buyer.

So do yourself a favor. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of. Do your research if you need to buy a car. And also, if you can, try to find the cars that have been on the lot over 90 days.

Why is this important?

Car Dealers tend to operate on a philosophy of selling used cars by 60 days and new cars by 90 days. The longer a car is sitting on their lot, the longer they are paying INTEREST to a bank.

Wait a sec, I hear you saying, dealers are paying interest to a bank?

YES! It's referred to as what is called a Floor Plan. The bank gives the dealer the money to buy the car from the manufacturer so that they can then sell it to you, the consumer. Most of you don't know, but my grandfather used to own a Ford dealership. He got out because of Floor Planning.
