There is nothing that a dishonest car salesman hates more than an informed car buyer.
So do yourself a favor. Don't let yourself be taken advantage of. Do your research if you need to buy a car. And also, if you can, try to find the cars that have been on the lot over 90 days.
Why is this important?
Car Dealers tend to operate on a philosophy of selling used cars by 60 days and new cars by 90 days. The longer a car is sitting on their lot, the longer they are paying INTEREST to a bank.
Wait a sec, I hear you saying, dealers are paying interest to a bank?
YES! It's referred to as what is called a Floor Plan. The bank gives the dealer the money to buy the car from the manufacturer so that they can then sell it to you, the consumer. Most of you don't know, but my grandfather used to own a Ford dealership. He got out because of Floor Planning.
