i think about like, street fighter 1. like, how they made a game that just wasn't really it. like it just didn't really... like, it just wasn't what it was. and yet then they made a second one and that was it, that was the game. i wonder how many games there are out there that are street fighter 1 and never got a street fighter 2

it's just occurred to me that maybe my attitude of "i don't want to ever see an advert for anything, ever, and if i do, i consider it a patronizing, unsolicited attack on my free will, and i will forever have a negative opinion of the company and try to make a point of actively avoiding the product from that day onward purely out of spite", maybe that attitude isn't actually as mainstream or normal as i think it is

smartphones are cool because you can text your friends to say youre gonna meet them in town, and listen to some music while youre on the bus. and while youre listening to music you see a really funny looking pigeon out of the bus window so you can take a picture of it. all with the same device! three in one! i dont think i personally need more features than that

the original iphone was the best smartphone because like. it didnt have apps. thank god. no apps. the scrolling was really nice. free ipod built in. good normal interface for browsing your music. touch screen where you could touch multiple things at the same time. and the best feature of all: no apps
