@steelangelpony @Gargron Diaspora is kind of dead in the water as a project. What they really need to do is adopt ActivityPub to interop with the rest of the fediverse, but that's probably never going to happen.

Historically, Diaspora just sits around waiting for other projects to become compatible with it, and makes no effort to maintain compatibility.

@Moon @augustus This is a big reason why I loved Aronofsky's "The Wrestler" so much.

It really offers a heartfelt take towards both this constructed fantasy, along with the brotherhood shared by the guys working it, who are usually friendly, and straight up plan out their fights together as part of a performance.

But the protagonist is also just a really sad guy that made some bad life decisions. He's trying his best, but all he knows is the reality and fantasy of how he lives.

I wear my heart on my sleeve. Queer as a 3-dollar bill. For my job, I maintain avionics systems on super old F-16 fighter jets. In my spare time, I try to make crappy 320x200 retro adventure games, and also run a few public services for the fediverse. You may have heard of WeDistribute or VidCommons, or maybe Spectra Video?I've been on the Fediverse for nearly 15 years. Been using some kind of Linux as a daily driver for even longer.
