@abolisyonista @Ulrich_the_Elder In Iowa 45% of registered voters didn't turn out to vote, in Florida 1.5 million people didn't turn out to vote, in the general election half the US population don't turn out to vote and it is even worse when it comes to midterms. Wisconsin is a prime example of people not turning out in the mid terms in 2010 resulted in a Republican majority who then used opportunity to redraw the electoral maps and thus cement a permanent Republican majority.

If ActivityPub has flaws (I'm not technically inclined when it comes to the in's and out's of protocols) then wouldn't it make more sense for Jack Dorsey to work with an existing project than reinvent the wheel or is this another example of the "there are too many standards, we need to create a new one"
