Since readability is Go's biggest strength, I'd argue that yes, it's probably a bad idea.

I tried taking a slice of the shape and rotating it in a for loop, applying a hull over each iteration. I struggled with calculating the correct offset and rotation for each iteration however 🙈

Hey resident #openscad experts!

I'm looking for a way to deform 3d shapes. In this particular case I have a rounded cuboid, that I want to bend upwards at a certain angle and position.

Is there any (more or less generic) way to achieve this with OpenSCAD (and maybe BOSL2)?

I think it depends a bit on where you live exactly. But yeah, it's pretty shocking how uninformed most people are when they jump into this hobby.

Resin printers and the current educational level of society don't mix well.
