I am a pensioner, one with only a state pension, and I think winter fuel allowance should be directed to those who need it not people with big company pensions nor, as previously, the King and the Duke of Westminster
We fetched the poorly hedgehog we took to the hogspital a couple of weeks back and released her in a slightly different, safer, place. She's a different animal, bright, lively and fat, getting rid of those lung worm has saved her life. We made her a hedgehog house but she flatly refused to settle in it and was last seen heading off to start her new home. We brought another big female back too who had been bitten by a dog. She settled right in to her new home. 🤞
Garden is depressingly devoid of insects. Aphids on the teasels, 1 possible sawfly chowing down on the carrot flowers. Nothing at all on the comfrey or the alkenet. So I was pleased to spot this chunky mullion moth caterpillar chomping at the buddleia. I put him back on the mullien where he belongs with his siblings #wildlife
