@jplebreton was very disappointed when scummvm decided to allow LLM contributions. Was on the fence as to whether to contribute my stuff, but will definitely not now.

@dalias @alwayscurious it is precisely concern trolling because it pretends capitalist concerns of levels of importance are my concerns. Software projects become ‘critical infrastructure’ when corpos can lever them for exploitation. Pushing for concern about the sustainability of this model is irrelevant under the conception of good I advocated for in my previous response

@dalias agreed. I think we need a new approach to public software development which bans not only LLM contributions but corporate involvement altogether. ‘Free software’ as defined by the FSF (or similar) has clearly outlived its usefulness.

@dalias python core has been on life support from corporations like GOOG for years. Of course they’ll take LLM contributions.
