Never before have I seen any world leader fail so spectacularly to grasp the moment and power they posses and instead vainly bully and try to extort so clumsily. What children our president and vice president are to imagine their swagger alone holds any weight. What contempt they have to admonish Zelenskyy for litigating in front of the press in the Oval Office when they could, themselves, in a moment dismiss the entirety of press and staff with a simple, “we’re gonna need the room.”
