Started approaching web hosting companies about their clients’ #disinformation about me. First stop, Hostinger. Since these aren’t DMCA, they aren’t as straightforward. It’s a little harder identifying if disinformation violates their policies, and web hosts are usually not arbiters of what is right or wrong. Still, Hostinger has replied, so we’ll see if they are in a position to help stamp out LLM-written disinformation.

Finally, my own post about the #misinformation, plus a couple of other truthful ones, are at the top of Google for this search.

Iʼve sent a press release detailing the misinformation Iʼve had to combat for the last four months to Search Engine Journal and Search Engine Land, including what was discovered with #Semrush. Neither publication has run it. Considering Semrush has 10 million users, youʼd think theyʼd want their users to know about a possible flaw. But, as I discovered with Facebook, the tech press will cover up this stuff unless you can find a journalist who cares.

@thomasfuchs Weʼve recently been putting back pages we deleted in the late 1990s (when hosting plans had limited space) and theyʼre largely fine. Been fun to go down memory lane. If anything, the content is terrible (e.g. limited length because there were no mouse scroll wheels) but the tech is fine!
