revision is so boring, especially if you’re just calculating things. I know it’s not always possible to do everything the pure math way, and i enjoy applying what i’ve learned, but really hate when i don’t understand *why* something works

currently revising for my stats exam which was more applied in nature — i decided to take more applied stats before delving into probability theory more and it was a good idea for a broader overview, but also quite painful when some details are just glossed over, and i don’t have time to dig deeper so i just have to use some methods relying on intuition regarding their working mechanisms
