@davew Wordpress, long time ago, allowed for any blog to register their feeds with technorati et al.

I bet @pfefferle could do something similar: a checkbox in his plugin that triggers a fediverse actor that acts like technorati to follow the #ActivityPub feed.

This would even be a solution #Ghost (also providing long form content) could follow, too.

@pfefferle @sky Ja, das stimmt. Aber das ist ein Fediverse-Problem, ganz allgemein, oder? Du folgst ja inmer von deiner Instanz, und nicht von dort wo du was tolles gefunden hast - wenn die Wordpress blogs mal in deinem Feed auftauchen dann wird es wieder einfach.

Wir wäre es denn mit einer Fediverse-Instanz die einen Lokalen Feed aller WP Blogs anbietet? Dein plugin könnte das noch ermöglichen?

@pfefferle @sky Das Discovery-Problem habe ich ganz speziell in meiner #tangoverse Initiative ja auch. Eine Lösung die ich verfolge ist eine kuratierte RSS-Collection aus meinem FreshRSS heraus, die auf meinem Friendica als eigener Account agiert - so kommt zumindest der Content auf meine lokalen Feed und hoffentlich in den Feed meiner User.

Du hattest auf dem Vortrag in Berlin gesagt dass eine WP-Seite als Gruppe erscheint?

Ich bin gerade beim Kapitel „#Wordpress wird nicht gefunden“.

Was ist denn eigentlich aus den ganzen Blogsuchmaschinen geworden, die es mal gab? Wordpress ist ja nicht in Vakuum: wir haben RSS, pingback, Kommentare - früher war das alles mal vernetzter.

@pfefferle is there a way to understand when posts published on #Wordpress using your #ActivityPub plugin get distributed to followers? I guess you are using wp-cron for that?

Would visualizing the outbox queue be something in the roadmap already? For sake of better understanding the magic between federation a bit better.
