@thomasfuchs Yes, it sort of makes me wonder if the unintended effect of breaking people’s brains with TikTok/Instagram dopamine poisoning was to essentially turn them into these easily manipulatable machines.

Even if that wasn't the goal initially, it sure seems like it right now. I hate to put my conspiracy theory cap on but it's one of those things I think about from time to time.

I imagine the same effort it took to lock up that UI they could have just used the real UI.

@thomasfuchs hah, I imagine it was because the screen was just some HyperCard application that was automated to respond to keystrokes so the actors didn’t have to think? Of course they could have just mocked it up with actual MacOS elements.

@skinnylatte how are you enjoying Boston? Sad I can’t make tomorrow’s meetup. I’ll be on a little New England island in the Atlantic for a week and my ferry leaves at noon.
