@TonyStark
I spent many years on FB with this name and somehow never had any flak. I don't think I've ever used my given name on any somed.

I started out in the mid 90s on BBSs, and you just picked a nick. Then most forums you used a nick, so when I hit FB, it was natural to use my nickname. Anyone who really wants to find me could if they had any skills, but why? I have nothing, nothing to steal nothing to hide. -

I was just Puck, but I joined Second Life and you had to pick a last name from a list, so from then on I had a last name. Half my friends just call me Puck in skin life. -

Most of my major depressive episodes were triggered by or exacerbated not having enough money to pay my bills. The last one was after my husband died and I had moved, ran out of money and simply couldn't work. I sought out therapy on a sliding scale, helped a little, tried meds that fucked me up worse and rendered me unable to get off the couch.I knew exercise was helpful, so I started walking every day, in the woods and swamp (boardwalk, I might be crazy, but I'm not stupid). Eventually met a few folks, took up photography, became a part of a group of fellow widows/ers and now if the depression peeks around the corner, I can cope with it.
Without my SS, I wouldn't be alive and happy today. Financial stability would help a lot of folks who aren't too deep in the weeds.

I just blocked someone with that inane genocide Joe crap. As Jim Wright says, there are no unicorns. There is no such thing as a candidate that will please everyone every time. You vote for whoever will be the best choice for the whole of the Nation, you vote for the marginal, not just yourself.Do your damned duty and quit whinging.

Think about how many 60+ people who used their bodies in construction, etc. to make a living there are. They are worn out and can't work anymore. They don't have office skills or temperaments. In so called right to work states, they often didn't make enough for much savings, so until they can get SS and Medicare, they're effed.And in most places, SS isn't enough to survive on. If you have a spouse that also gets SS, when one dies, the paltry income is cut in half. Things are bad out here.

When my daughter told me my granddaughter might be ADHD, I went straight to the library and started researching. Sitting on the library floor, scanning books, suddenly a lightbulb went off and my whole life was explained. I've since been officially diagnosed. Honestly? In spite of the negatives, I wouldn't change a thing. I've learned to be quite comfortable in my own skin.
