5 years and 5000 trees later, this land in Senegal has transformed 🌳

Before, the soil was so dry that farmers struggled to grow crops.

Thanks to the support of the Ecosia community, we’ve partnered with Trees For The Future to create food forests in Senegal that help farming communities adapt to the effects of climate change.

Here, trees grow alongside crops, protecting them, restoring the soil, and cooling temperatures 🌳 And families can harvest more fruits and vegetables 🥭

A legal milestone just happened in the Amazon.

Bees now have rights, and it could change how we protect nature.

Doesn’t seem possible, but this forest didn’t need a single seedling.

All it took was protecting it from fires, alongside our partners ITPA 💪

Together, we supported local firefighting teams and raised awareness about fire prevention.

7 years later, the forest is coming back on its own 🌳

As cities heat up, streets lined with trees can be up to *12°C* cooler than those without — providing shade, cleaner air, and a home for biodiversity 🌳
