In 2009, this was just an idea. Today, it’s 250 million trees.
It’s Claire and Joaquim planting trees. It’s 125 local partners around the world. It’s millions of people who never stopped searching.
Some things take time 🥹 Thank you for growing this with us 💚
Good morning all you gentle people. Happy Monday!
It is hot today so I am about to head outside and plant the remainder of the garlic before the sun comes over the trees.
It should be straight forward as I worked out a good method in yesterday's planting. (I thought I might be planting too deep, but I read afterwards that deeper is good in warmer climates.)
Be really kind today, if you can. I saw some aweful comments online over the weekend (not just here). Redress the balance. Make sure people feel seen, and feel heard and understood. Every now and then take a moment to smile. Take deep breaths when you are tempted to say something out of character.
@thomasfuchs distractionware is a moat, and moats are just another tool in the strategic toolkit.
Javascript and kubernetes are roots of their respective distractionware trees.
It's the programmer version of consumerism as a hobby, like the catalogs of aftermarket crap for hot rodders and 4x4ers, so we're always wanting, always chasing, always spending time and money to make the unimportant, peripheral, and cosmetic changes to perfectly good but boring stuff that works fine.
