@evan Yah, I mean this certainly falls under the "unprovable marketing claims" column in my books, but there are indeed some pretty great features in pgsql all under one roof:
- You can make NoSQL-style queries with JSON columns
- You can do some pretty reliable full-text search
- Their pub-sub story is really strong.
In my opinion, you can replace a lot of systems with pgsql if you're at a smaller scale.
Of course, it has it's limitations and isn't a panacea.
Some views of my garage-dwelling hydroponic tomatoes. They've just started to blossom and I'm increasingly optimistic about getting some tomatoes this winter!
The system is a an ebb-and-flow (aka flood-and-drain) system. I might write some more about this in a thread here if I have more time.
Currently using artificial fertilizer, but if this experiment bears fruit I'll try #compost tea next.
