I'm not surprised it did, but I don't think the 'No's actually ventured HOW to go about making that happen

That's the part of the problem that my mind instantly goes to: if it's not okay, then how do we make it not happen

Which would require some mechanism to dictate what content is or is not allowed on the Fediverse at large, which is dangerous

But I do believe there's something in the works for a universal API??? So that'll be exciting

@dansup to me this feels like a very logical hierarchy of control:

The fediverse at large moderates the platform

Admins moderate the servers

Posters moderate their posts

If you disagree with those moderation decisions, you mute/report/block/defederate

- Tags maintain their original case
- Bug where tags would show twice in different cases
- Link description text would sometimes show the post content instead
- Following and Follower feeds would duplicate content

@dansup As someone who was recently one of the "kids these days": not being able to see your parents' text posts would be a pretty decent selling point for a social media app

There shouldn't be competition there, it should just be a free piece of software from the government
