Ha, I literally just yesterday wrote an article about this very topic - how networks explicitly not affiliated with the sources of power are completely excluded from the conversation.

My answer is that we can't do much with the mainstream media, and need to rely on link sharing and independent networks. We can't win as things are now, the deck is too stacked.
