Trump's executive order that there are only two genders conflicts with science and reality. It is not yet clear what actual impact the order will have on government policy but at very least it raises concerns about research funding and it fuels prejudice.

@wjmaggos Problem is that Biden also had very serious issues and Harris indicated she agreed with his policies. The goal was to get a less shitty Dem--first by having Biden replaced and then, when Harris became the candidate, to attempt to push her to change some of her policies.

It was clear that if Harris did not change her policies, there was no path to victory in the electoral college so no point in compromising principles and voting for her.

Cries of "Foreign adversaries" including Russia, China & the "war on terror" are repeatedly used to justify attacks on civil liberties in the US. This includes the TicTok ban legislation which gives Trump power to censor web sites which criticize him.
