Good list of statements from Caitlin Johnstone, most of which make me question anyone's credibility, but I would add spreading anti-vaccine claims and Covid misinformation high on my list. I'd also include trusting the official narrative from either the United States or Russia re Ukraine.
After Day 1 of Trump there have been many bad executive orders--some of which are truly harmful & some of which will fail to make actual changes. Despite the scare stories, Trump did not become a dictator on Day 1 and instead of greater destruction in Gaza we have a ceasefire (at least for the moment). On the other hand, I'm still waiting for Trump to end the war in Ukraine within a day as he claimed he could do.
It is sure good to see BlueMaga who stood by Biden as he engaged in war crimes, demolished public health on the federal level, and attacked civil liberties finally get upset by bad things done by the US government now that they are being done by Donald Trump.
One lesson of the Biden years has been to verify what was already apparent in 2016: Democratic partisans will support any evil if coming if coming from a Democratic leader. In the next four years we will see if Republicans will similarly support any evil from Trump.
Biden has falsely claimed that we are no longer at war and that the Covid pandemic ended in 2022. Biden's goals have been to make the Forever Wars and the Covid pandemic go down the memory hole--getting many to ignore both issues rather than taking effective action regarding either foreign policy or public health.
Trump can't seem to decide if he wants to end the Forever Wars or if he wants to invade Greenland, Panama and/or Canada. Yet more foreign policy based upon "War is Peace."
Biden has pardoned Hunter but there is no sign he will be pardoning others who are deserving of a pardon such as Edward Snowden. The Washington Post reports that several advisers to Trump are more open to this. https://wapo.st/41cNMdH
Message of Delay, Deny, Depose on shell casings in shooting of Brian Thompson appear to confirm suspicions that his killing was related to United Healthcare's practices of denying claims to boost profits. Hopefully this will lead to greater scrutiny of the healthcare insurance industry--which should be eliminated & replaced by Medicare for All. https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/04/us/brian-thompson-united-healthcare-death/index.html
