Not surprised.
Very disappointed.

This is at 33 minutes and the mix was at 68ºF when it started. I usually like the mix at 50º or below, but I didn't want to wait today. It was done by 40 minutes.

Totally edible now, of course, but better after some time in the freezer to firm up.

A little bit of joy...

Sometimes it is all I can do not to respond to opp counsel with something like "Do you always lead with your dick?"

But I'm a professional so it comes out like "While I appreciate your exalted position in your firm, it is not relevant to our discussions..."

Really, I do want to ask these men (and yes, it is always men) who start a phone call or email with a list of their titles/credentials, rather than just saying "Dear Ms. Burns, I represent Bob's House of Infringement in this matter..." if they are unaware that the second I (and I suspect most women) hear/read those titles we think not "Oooh! I'm impressed" but rather "tiny penis."

My friend in TN recounted to me the following: one of if not the first job/s her hubs had in AV production was wiring a lavalier mic on Ms. Parton. He stood in front of her for a bit, a tall man blushing like a kid, not knowing how to approach the well known bust. She said "Don't worry--they don't bite!" and laughed, putting everyone at ease.

He said she was kind to everyone on the set and gracious and, well, just everything you'd hope.

Jesus christ on a pogo stick... AGAIN it's the wrong 80 year old!

Lunch started with an email from a Southern California high rise luxury apartment property developer trying to claim they're only a little company who didn't know they had to license photos.

Oh, and they emailed me directly--not through their lawyer.

I almost feel bad for the lawyer. Almost.

It's 81ºF here but the sun is super intense. Top-down is fine as long as you're moving, but I got stuck behind several sloooow drivers after I got off the freeway. By the time I got home after errands and teaching, I was a puddle in white linen.

I have just drafted a motion for entry of default, to be filed next week. I suspect the defendants will fail to answer; but having the motion ready may cosmically ensure they do.

@steter about 8 years ago, I had a clerk stop a transaction because I had not signed the back. New card and just forgot.

He then handed me a pen and I signed it and he ran the transaction. Super safe.
