I remember reading somewhere that this is a difference between "old school" devs from the 80s-90s and newer devs.

Old school: you must know your computer top to bottom including the specific atoms the CPU moves, or fuck off

New school: useful errors are useful actually

Nope, it's not. And it's disingenuous at best to pretend that it is.

The EC has been very explicit as to which features Apple cannot withhold from other developers, and they all have been common sense features anyone would expect.
