Just imagine if Gov. Abbott (or The Abbotts Family) said:

Good: "All of us at some point will be 'Hot Wheels'…"

Better: "Do all the sidewalks in Texas have curb cuts? Let's get that done."

Best: "Do folks in Texas jump out of their trucks to assist after you've fallen? C'mon, help us saddle up!"

[In my experience, for example, peeps in NH just back up and drive away…]

NASA Analysis Shows Unexpected Amount of Sea Level Rise in 2024
      from Anthony Greicius
Last year’s increase was due to an unusual amount of ocean warming, combined with meltwater from land-based ice such as glaciers.

East-facing entrance, marked by a traditional gateway known as a pylon, leads to a spot where sunlight would have illuminated where the sky observer —known as 'smn pe' and who was usually a priest —stood to track the sun and stars, Ghonim said; the structure still has a carving of smn pe facing the rising sun.

      Operation Wetback
Operation Wetback was an immigration law enforcement initiative created by Joseph Swing, the Director of the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS). The program was implemented in June 1954 by U.S. Attorney General Herbert Brownell. The short-lived operation used military-style tactics to remove Mexican immigrants—some of them American citizens—from the United States. Though millions of Mexicans had legally entered the country through joint immigration programs in the first half of the 20th century and some who were naturalized citizens who were once native, Operation Wetback was designed to send them to Mexico. The program became a contentious issue in Mexico–United States relations, even though it originated from a request by the Mexican government to stop the illegal entry of Mexican laborers into the United States. Legal entry of Mexican workers for employment was at the time controlled by the Bracero Program, established during World War II by an agreement between the U.S. and Mexican governments. Operation Wetback was primarily a response to pressure from a broad coalition of farmers and business interests concerned...

#China The nation's robotic Chang'e 6 mission returned material from the moon's mysterious far side to Earth on Tuesday (June 25) — something that had never been done before. The far side, which is very different from the near, is more difficult to explore. Because the far side faces away from Earth, a relay satellite is required to communicate with spacecraft that operate there. (China has launched two such relay satellites to date.)
