@gocu54 For the first few grades of school, out teacher read to us, a chapter at a time, from books that I really enjoyed. Bridge to Terrabetia, the Beezus and Ramona books, The Borrowers, Charlotte's Web, My Robot Buddy, to name a few off the top of my head.

@gtbray @Fragglemuppet @Mendi_Tech @techsinger @mcourcel No, not everybody is born a genius, but the ability to come up with correct search terms and so on transcends blindness. When I was in school, we were shut out from doing keyword searches of any kind. The closest I got was when I could ask the Department of Education for a specific volume of the Worldbook Encyclopedia, then wait several week to a month or two for them to ship the machine and the appropriate volume to me.
