    Btw if you don’t mind akkoma and want an good actually-safe server for trans women and gender-adjacent (and also plural/autistic/all that good shit) you should consider translunar. Never seen any bad behavior from them since it started (just saw people i don’t vibe with but that’s not bad behavior).

    I hear it’s also technically the fan-club of Fedi Homestuck so whenever they say something weird i assume it’s some sort of reference.

    If you still have a Twitter account, wipe your main and your priv ASAP.

    They are going to remove Circles. They don't even say if they will make previous priv posts public on the linked page ( https://help.twitter.com/en/using-x/twitter-circle ). This is probably just a first step. Don't take chances.

    Look I don't mind people who are 100% sitting out of this affair, for whatever reason. I'm not asking you to come forward in support of the trans community or to share anyone's perspectives.

    But if you are sharing only wishy-washy "trans women are nazis" posts written in super coded language by petit bourgeois trying to pit people against each other and grift off my sisters who are constantly homeless and doing sex work to survive, the most polite outcome you can hope for is a block.

    Not gonna apologize for being annoying last few days. I know it's really out of character, I much prefer posting about my interests than about gender, last few months it was mostly electronics projects and the like.

    But the space we're sharing has a real transphobia problem that way too many people were afraid to bring up because defending your transness makes you racist or some cointelpro shit.

    Some of you are/were promoting it. Some I talked out of, others I got rid of. Don't let me catch you being complicit.

    Main takeaway of this little incident: on average, trans women ended meeting lots of new people from other corners of fedi, taking the defense of people they were in bad terms with, some instance admins double-checking whether their instance blocks were bullshit and rebuilt severed connections, everyone staying resolute as ever that racism should be fought, the HOA having big public meltdowns and losing their credibility by the hour

    One of those things i was thinking about last year was how it sucks we have no centralized community for making 3d printing accessibility aids for your local community (for free or cost of materials yknow)

    Reminded how on twitter (rip) someone was like "how can i have this game controller mod printed for my disabled friend" and people were recommending super overpriced services that would never tweak their slicer settings right
    Those kinda controller mods very often make use of compliance - the ability of plastic to bend but not break. You need to know your stuff to print them right.

    They were in australia, i asked a friend of mine living there to ask their friend into 3D printing to get in touch, so maybe they got hooked up

    But like, who needs stuff locally? I'd love to make my machine useful. It's not like i'm running it 24/7. And I can make bespoke designs adapted to your needs... I just have zero clue what you need, and you have zero clue i live nearby and would love to help

    speaking of which, one of my favorite "you would never have guessed yourself people would find this 3d printable item useful" i saw a while ago: wheelchair handle spikes.

    i remember someone mentioning how useful they were to "keep assholes from grabbing and moving me". it was striking how they said "grabbing me", considering it a part of their body.

    @apophis It should be common knowledge by now that mastodon.art blocks pretty much every single trans fem fediverse instance that runs alternative software but somehow it isn't well understood by everyone yet. They blocked mine like two months after I started self-hosting.

    A lot of people follow me for my work with softsynths (and now hardware synths) and are totally unaware of that, you should passs on the message to your friends on this instance: they should move. You can post about art anywhere on the network, being on this instance limits your reach and enables the worst kind of petty power abuses. Explain to your friends they can leave mastodon.art without losing their followers.
