@dansup 👋 What installation method / hosting strategy are you using yourself for pixelfed.social?

I'm kinda curious given the state of Docker + Pixelfed - especially in how many/few uses VPS/server installation vs docker vs docker compose vs k8s vs some other method

Do you have any data or gut feeling on that?

@dansup I got curious when I went to pixelfed/docs repo to update the Docker installation guide, only to find it didn't actually exists :)

I've spent a *lot* of time today refining, testing, and documenting today for my PR (https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/pull/4844)

The docs (https://github.com/jippi/pixelfed/tree/jippi-fork/contrib/docker#pixelfed-docker-images) are still not *quite* there yet, but I guess most of it actually should end up living in pixelfed/docs as a Docker alternative path - rather than a fringe "contrib"?

@dansup no rush! Might need a bit of coffee for it, as it's a pretty large change - I tried my best to document and break down all the things individually so it's (hopefully) easier to follow and maintain int he future.

Would be happy to assume ownership of that part for a while if it's "owner-less"

I noticed a lot of Docker-related PRs being up for a long time without action, so maybe not a big focus for you? Happy to try and off load some of that if you want

@dansup Do you have any writing around the spam AI/LLM? I've been considering adding something like that to my Mastodon Mod Tools system I have but came up short on a good solution that works great for short messages like Mastodon and other short-form services
