@aral I will never forget a pivotal moment during my visit to Auschwitz. I asked about these large pools of water I noticed. They were water supplies for firefighters, installed to comply with their insurance policy. They literally had a general insurance policy that was required to “operate a business.” That’s how normalized the genocide was.
Fun fact: Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” was actually written by his not-yet-wife June Carter and Merle Kilgore. It was first recorded and released in 1962, by June’s sister, Anita. Johnny’s version was released in 1963.
Johnny’s then-wife, Vivian, maintains that he “wrote that song, while pilled up and drunk, about a certain private female body part.”
I’m looking for a partner to build a Mastodon app for iOS. I have the UI/UX mostly completed and need a developer.
I’ve heard so many complaints about the available apps. My 25 years design experience and recent research on Mastodon put us in a great place for success.
I’d love to hear from you if you’re an iOS developer. I’d also love boosts if y’all don’t mind. Let’s make a meaningful app, putting the people first.

“…it demolishes the cornerstone myth of the American tax system: that everyone pays their fair share and the richest Americans pay the most.”
The situation itself, that a white man who hailed himself a great ally was privately a bigoted racist, is not a surprise. That happens a lot. But it’s repugnant when someone thinks their publicly-exposed “private” comments exonerate them from their wrong doing.
“Unfortunately…comments which I never intended to share publicly have come to light.”
But you said them. That’s who you are. Publicly or privately.
“It is illegal for women to go topless in most cities. Yet you can buy a magazine of a woman without her top on at any 7–11 store. So, you can sell breasts, but you can’t wear breasts, in America.” —Violet Rose
