@ai6yr @CassandraVert @FinchHaven In Puerto Rico in the 70’s & 80’s we so often didn’t have power (or water or telephone) it was just routine. Family still there constantly report lacking one or both. (Btw, this is random-regardless of weather.) Now that I live in the states, I’m still pleasantly surprised every day that we have power and water. Many solar panels were lost in the hurricanes. The wind farms that were there were all lost in some of the latest hurricanes (Maria or more recently.) They were a crumpled mess. Can you make solar or wind “weather proof”? So, if you can afford to install them… will they survive…? I wonder.
