This is absolutely wretched. It's like throwing a party and only inviting disposable plastic cutlery. It's like desperately needing the approval of your toothbrush and refrigerator. It reeks of dejection and cringing loneliness.

Richard Littler (richard_littler@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 31-Aug-2024 20:22:52 JST Richard Littler Musk again claiming that free speech is under attack. The usual distortion of liberal values. Plus it's a straw man argument. X hasn't been charged with 'exercising free speech', it's been charged with refusing to name a legal representative and, under EU law, deceiving its users, failing transparency requirements, and is being investigated for disseminating disinformation & *illegal* hate speech...

Richard Littler (richard_littler@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 29-Jul-2024 21:00:57 JST Richard Littler It's crazy that someone can accuse you of copyright infringement, yet offer zero detail about the nature of that infringement, and it's up to you to guess what the accusation may refer to and then defend yourself accordingly.
Yes, it may be a case of AI/bots scouring the internet for matches, but then why did Sony not make a claim against the original, untouched sample, which is also on YouTube, on the library's own channel?

Suddenly, Sony withdrew their claim without explanation. Huh. Could it have been *they*, not me, who used the sample unlawfully? -

Richard Littler (richard_littler@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 29-Jul-2024 21:00:57 JST Richard Littler 🧵 I won my YouTube dispute with Sony Music Entertainment after they claimed I infringed the copyright of one of their artists. They rejected my first appeal, even though I offered evidence that I'd written/performed/recorded the music myself.
I guessed that my track's background atmosphere audio sample might be the contentious element, so I demonstrated that it was from a Creative Commons audio library which offers free audio samples. -

I mean, how *does* one choose between a highly competent, successful prosecutor/politician... and a narcissistic, geriatric, diaper-wearing, traitorous sexual predator with multiple felonies to his name, and the cognitive competence of dogshit, whose presidency would be a serious security threat to all countries that aren't run by malignant autocrats?

In this age of ostentatious live shows with props & multiple costume changes, you have to admire their stagecraft: Jason W. randomly cawing like a gibbon/kookaburra throughout with a bottle of water held over his head, and his pants half down, full of tics, and angrily screaming 'fuck off, you cunts', while Andrew dances in the background like a mashed Magnum P.I. ZZ Top Bez. -

More Men Being Dicks.
