We now have #38C3 badges: One for BBS logins via IP and another one for dial-up via actual Modem or ISDN using the @c3isdn network on-site. The latter is not yet possible a the network is still being built. The badge for IP based login to the BBS is available already now: You can find the ANSI-BBS QR code for the badge in the Text file section of C3BBS. #BBS#retronetworking
Only one late night shift later, C3BBS is now also reachable via gopher, NNTP and even the browser based telnet client at https://c3bbs.retronetworking.org/
lol. @certbund has just notified us that operating a telnet service is insecure. Kind of funny for a project that intentionally operates ancient networking protocols and systems (like C3BBS) as a museum ;) - Not a complaint, just ironic in this specific case.. #retronetworking@c3isdn
In case anyone is interested in creating CCC related #ANSI artwork for C3BBS: Pesthoernchen and Chaosknoten (for 80x24 terminals) would be great, fro a start. #followerpoer#38C3. Synchronet also supports RIP, in case somebody wants to create #CCC related RIP graphics, please let us know!
C3BBS, a BBS for retronetworking usage at CCC events such as the #38C3 has just gone live. You can reach it over IP, but also via dial-up from within the OCTOI (ISDN over Interrnet) network and via dial-up on the @c3isdn network at #38C3
Feed related to C3BBS, a BBS related to CCC (Chaos Computer Club) events. You can dial into it from the OCTOI network at 49-30-1234-3333 and from @c3isdn at #38C3 at 919899
