If the project(s) were abandoned, but donations were still being accepted, that would be unconscionable.

If JC tried that 'resurrection' stunt in the USA today, the US Marshals Service would run him down for contempt of court, unlawful escape, and obstruction of justice.

All 12 Apostles would be jailed for being accessories.

Judas' death would be the seed crystal for boundless conspiracy theories. (Another patsy...)
