Still very new here, so I'm not sure how this #WIPWednesday thing works, but I'm going to assume it's just about showing a current WIP?

I'm currently working on the RSN Introduction to Goldwork online class my sister gave to me for Christmas last year.

I'm really trying to take my time and not cut corners, frogging when I'm even the slightest dissatisfied with the result (as long as frogging won't be more detrimental than the original mistake, ofc).

I'm loving it!🤩

This week's #WIPWednesday is me finishing the letters in the banner at the bottom of this #Hogwarts #crossstitch. Now I can concentrate on the coat of arms in the background and, later, on the backstitching.

I actually couch instead of backstitching. I find the lines go where I want them to go more than when I backstitch. If you've ever struggled with getting your thread to sit just right when you're doing the backstitching on a cross stitch project, try couching the strand of thread instead.

@Stitch26 Indeed, the enabling is the best Hahaha in currently starting to learn bobbin lacemaking and that is lovely, but oh I wanna do all the complicated projects. They're so gorgeous!

@Stitch26 @thegiddystitcher oh dear, oh dear, why would you say that 😩 I don't have enough hours in a day! (I'm definitely NOT staring wistfully at the box of English paper piecing hexagons in my craft room... 🥺)

@valhalla @thegiddystitcher the hexagons have already been bought. The lack of time is the actual problem 😣

@thegiddystitcher Do it so I can live vicariously through you 😅 I can't possibly take on another craft and I don't have a sewing machine, but dang, those quilt designs on Etsy are so tempting.
