I wouldn't say so. As a semi-"AI guy" who's followed you for a while, your takes on AI are usually pretty rational and moderate, imo. The good kind of anti-AI pushback.
Charlie (who I also follow and enjoy as a writer) is more in for the performative, torches and pitchforks stuff.
The companies behind AI are deep into evil shit. I don't think transferring infinite culpability onto people who use AI is going to work out though. It's a very noisy moral signal for lots of reasons.

Don't count out the killer robots. They are coming along nicely. Just because they will be deployed by humans and not by SkyNet and won't be self-replicating doesn't make them not a threat.
All those "human in the loop" systems are being developed with the knowledge that it would be more profitable to take the human out of the loop at some point. Palantir drools about it.
