@hackbyte @BeAware hmm I guess friendica has a specific plugin allowing mutual communication with dispora? Actually, I've watched couple of videos about current friendica sate and quite like their facebook-alike UI (I never was a twitter guy but facebook). On the other hand there seems barely any functional English language instances available atm: https://dir.friendica.social/servers/en 😕

@BeAware Yeah, they have mentioned about differences from their platform, however inside the fediverse we already have different layout/functionality/ui and that it not really an obstacle for federation imo. Mastodon, Pixelfed and Friendica for example - all are different but work together fine...

Based on this thread we should not expect #diaspora to adopt #activitypub and join the #fediverse unfortunately.
I'd really want to see all existing (and new) social networks join the Fedi for cross-posting and cross-following one day.
