Wow. The EPA has placed 144 employees on administrative leave after the workers signed a public letter criticizing EPA leadership for disregarding scientific expertise and rolling back environmental and public health protections. This is an unacceptable censorship of scientists!

The Big Death Bill has officially been passed. Despite claiming to want to “Make America Healthy Again,” hundreds of Republican Congressmembers willingly chose to kick millions of people off health insurance, close hundreds of hospitals, nursing homes, and reproductive health clinics, leave millions of families without enough food, and kill tens of thousands of people. This is the biggest assault on health in recent history.

Zohran Mamdani has a lot of great ideas for programs that will make NYC livable and affordable for everyone.

He should add a free N95 mask program to that list.

N95 masks improve public health by protecting people from airborne viruses and wildfire smoke.

Providing them for free increases their use and decreases stigma.

Zohran includes the importance of guarding against shortages of PPE in his platform. One of the best ways to do that is by implementing a year-round free N95 mask program, which will ensure we have the necessary infrastructure in place well before any new public health emergencies arise.

I never want to see pundits say that young people are not interested in politics ever again.

Young people aren't the problem. Uninspiring candidates are the problem.
