To: Administrator Zeldin, CC: U.S. Senate Committee on Environment & Public Works, U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce, U.S. House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, Members of Congress Declaration of Dissent In solidarity with other federal organizations across the country, civil servants throughout the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) join in dissent of this administration's policies -- policies that undermine EPA's mission and threaten the health of people and the planet. The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and the environment. Since the Agency's founding in 1970, we at EPA have accomplished our mission by leveraging science, funding, and expert staff in service to the American people. Today we stand together in dissent of the current administration's counterproductive focus on excessive deregulation, blatant partisanship, and mischaracterization of Agency decisions under past administrations.
