You’re just telling me you don’t know any Black people and refuse to listen to the millions that have been sharing their experiences for decades.

If you’re wondering what to do right now, give. Help people around you because a lot of folks are hurting.

Look up #mutualaid and help where you can. There’s a ton of work that still needs to be done and we can start by meeting people’s needs today.

The fedi raised millions for Harris.

Imagine if we put that same effort into satisfying immediate needs right now.

That would be a massive step forward and a good way to start building our collective capacity outside of politics.

We can do that right now.

As for me, I’m going to do what I always do: keep working.

The election results are irrelevant for me because my goal is to create systems in service of sustainable communities that exist outside of political and corporate interests.

I’m interested in building tools that enable us to build and sustain networks that are for our betterment.

That is still my focus, no matter what nonsensical shit happens in a rapidly declining empire. Because we need tools for what comes after.

I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I’m going to be relentless until I find them.

And I honestly believe we are closer than we think.

Scream, cry, and throw things. Feel what you gotta feel.

But after, the work continues.

I’ve said for a long time the greatest threat to the US is white Americans and they proved that yet again by coming out in force for a charlatan that repeats the lies they want to hear.

Personally, I don’t feel much about it because my existence has always been an uphill struggle. Hell, if you’ve been following me for awhile, you know how contentious the environment has been on the fedi and my fight to push this place past its racist inclinations.

I get how people feel pretty down at the moment. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself.

But as a person that has been fighting for a long time, don’t dwell in the despair. Don’t let the doom consume you. This is just a moment in time and it will pass.

And it’s a great opportunity to decouple your idea of progress from the state that has proven time and time again it does not give a fuck about your wellbeing.

Now is the time for ideas. Now is the time to create.

We are far from helpless.

One of the main reasons I do what I do is because I envision a world where our communities are so well organized and connected that it doesn’t matter what politicians do because we have us.

I’ve worked under this premise for years and it has led me to a purpose that has sustained me through all of the hate and dehumanization people have constantly thrown at me in my years on the fedi.

I gave up on the state being a catalyst for progressive societal change a long time ago. Yesterday was just another confirmation that the US is dedicated to its own destruction and decline and is determined to bring us all down with it.

Our job is to refuse to die with the empire. Our shared goal is to disconnect from it and let it kill itself.

The US has always been this hateful and disgusting.

The advent of social media has just made it impossible to hide anymore.

The convo around Angel Reese is a glaring example of how even when Black folks do everything right in the American context, work hard, commit to growing and are successful doing so, that merit is ignored to make up other grievances.

Reese has done nothing but be great in her craft and earn a great living doing it and people still openly hate her for trivial reasons and straight up lies.

There is no such thing as meritocracy in the US.

The thought that Black men are the ‘problem’ in this election is racist propaganda.

Black folks have consistently voted for the most left option available in the US for decades. That is an absolute truth.

The problem has always been white people voting for bigots and frauds because they repeat the same bigoted rhetoric as them.

Anyone who says other wise is just a liar.

For all the people that had something to say this week, the timeline has been mighty quiet since I laid out the problem with tech lgbt and its admin team yesterday.

Ha, mighty quiet.

Ok, so as people are on here talking out of their asses, I’m going to talk about my issues with David and their instance, tech lgbt.

This is going to be a thread so buckle up.

So I didn’t pay any attention to tech lgbt until last year when another member of fedimins alerted me that ShadowJonathan, a mod on tech lgbt, was spreading some misinformation and flat-out lies in that channel.

I had no idea why this person had a problem with me, so I logged on to try and remedy the situation by talking to them directly.

When I attempted to speak to them directly to resolve the issue, I was completely ignored while they continued to lie about me and the project, even as other administrators in the channel would repeatedly remind them that what they were saying wasn’t true.

Any admin in Fedimin can verify this.

When this happened, this is when I knew it wasn’t about the project, but how white people FELT about the project.

Because we could have easily talked it out, but ShadownJonathan the flash point of of all the TBS rumors and lies that still follow me to this day just refused to.

So Missouri carried out its human sacrifice to white supremacy today, murdering Marcellus Williams in cold blood.

After being imprisoned for 20 years for a crime he did not commit.

Affirming yet again the US is a death cult and it does not matter what political talking head people vote for to be face of this barbarism.

Because the US is damned.

After 3 days of this random ass white dude ranting about me and a situation he was not part of and admitting he doesn’t know what he is talking about, I’m going to recommend a #fediblock for shakedownDOTsocial.

I put link to a thread where I talk about his insanity and inability to behave like a sensible person for context, but in addition to that, I have received no response from the admin of that instance after tagging them in another unprovoked abuse message yesterday and filing two reports.

Allegedly, harassment and antagonization is ground for banning, but after three days and constant racist nonsense from this person, there has been no action.

This leaves me to conclude his behavior is acceptable for that instance and/or moderation is so poor their server rules are essentially meaningless.

Either way, it is an instance that is just not safe.

I can’t lie, it’s funny to me how people engage me in hostile bad faith trying to to tell me what my intentions are without knowing any details get UPSET when I label them as bigots.

I’m not your teacher, your magical Negro friend or someone that is going to take random people’s shit that they only have the courage to say because they are anonymous cowards on the internet.

If you come at me like a hateful lunatic, ha, I’m going to believe you.

If you act like a hostile actor, that’s how you’re going to be treated.

Only a bigot doesn’t understand this basic principle of human interaction.

What happened over the weekend is yet another example of even when I mind my business, people still come at me unprovoked.

I have never interacted with any of the people that targeted me and virtually all of them freely admitted they do not know the details of the situation they are allegedly upset about.

It’s surreal watching people I didn’t know existed until they stated harassing me accuse me of harassment and abuse without even knowing what they are talking about.

I don’t call people like this bigots to be mean or spiteful.

I call them bigots because that’s what their actions are screaming at me.

It’s just an objective assessment based on the data they are offering.

It’s really not that hard to a civilized and curious person.

If you want to know something, just ask. I’m an open book if one engages is good faith.

Unfortunately what has happened over the last few days affirms my sentiment of how many people who proclaim to be leftists have the same methodology and engagement style of any common racist.

Many people want to perceived as rational and thoughtful, but do not act thoughtfully or rationally when engaging with the complex experience of being Black and Brown on the fedi.

And that’s a choice. That’s not just how people are. It’s a definitive decision to withhold the respect and empathy for people they deem unworthy while expecting that in return.

And I am very specific with how I respond to people who engage in this type of biased behavior. And it’s not going to be with kid gloves.

The premise is quite simple. If you don’t want to treated like a bigoted asshole, don’t act like. Easy.

I don’t want to hear how your being treated unfairly because you decide to launch into a hateful rant targeting someone you don’t know and hasn’t engaged with you at all.

So basically, the state of Missouri is planning to carry out the public lynching of a brother that has been proven innocent.

This is an example of why I call the US a death cult. This is a straight up human sacrifice to white supremacy.
