por mucho que prefiera el modelo de mastodon, la gestión de los blocks de bluesky le da mil vueltas,,, al poder bloquear listas colaborativas a tu elección, el debate de si defederar tal o cual instancia se vuelve innecesario 👌

@rober @pablogilah total,,, aunque a difirencia de las anteriores, esta vez puedo decir que hoy he visto a más mutuals en bluesky que los últimos meses en tuiter,,, por supuesto seguiré usando los dos, y aunque es una tontería decir que esta será la migración "definitiva", desde luego lo será para mí!

@pablogilah que yo seguiré usando OpenVive y viendo y publicando en los dos lados, pero la cantidad de mutuals que he encontrado hoy entre un sitio y el otro no tiene comparación,,,

@veroandi I am really scared of this move. I really think it was a huge mistake of Lula to only offer his Bluesky. Mastodon is only backed by us, and the least we can do is to get out and promote it as much as we can. But we won't convince any outsiders from the inside, we have to get back. There. To the Bird Cage.

I really feel this #MastodonMigration due to the #Twitter ban in #Brazil might be our last chance. It is clear that #Bluesky has the marketing that #Mastodon lacks - understandable given its FOSS nature.

But these moments are rare, and if this is indeed the start of Twitter's downfall, it may be our last chance to secure Mastodon as The Public Forum. We can't hand over its keys to another for-profit that will enshitify the forum of our democracies in the years to come.

It is our time as users to promote Mastodon, especially for those of us who work in the press or have other distribution channels. Yes, we may even have to come back to The Bird Cage to convince our mutuals to choose Mastodon when the time comes. This is the first time an entire country has been forced to choose between Mastodon and Bluesky, and what Brazil chooses might determine what the rest of the world chooses as the dominoes continue to fall.

So get out there and convince everyone. It could be our last chance.

Soy Pablo Gila, investigador predoctoral en física de materiales. Antaño paseaba por la red del pajarito compartiendo las cosas chulas de ciencia que iba aprendiendo. Pero ya no me veo capaz de aguantar el basurero en que se ha convertido, así que borrón y cuenta nueva, nunca mejor dicho!

También me mola pintar, aunque soy malísimo, y me encanta patinar, aunque me caigo todo el rato.

Ahora toca encontrar a los antiguos mutuals, y oye, ojalá hacer mutuals nuevos! :D
