What are some examples of simple, but fundamentally wrong icon designs?

Two examples I have in mind are the crescent moon with a star inside (the star is still behind, even in the part where the moon is not visible to us) and three gears interlocking (which cannot rotate, because two would have to rotate in opposite directions). Are there any others you have seen somewhere?

Magari sono solo io, ma mi sembra strano parlare della rivista “D” senza aggiungere “di Repubblica”, oppure del film “M” senza il sottotitolo “Il mostro di Düsseldorf” (a cui si è aggiunto l’esempio de “Il figlio del secolo”). Magari è ciò che ci spinge ad aggiungere “ex Twitter”

I wonder if anyone has ever deciphered the secret message in the EasyJet headrests. (No one will ever convince me that there is no hidden message there.)

@lasiepedimore Una “buona notizia” sarebbe avere un piano per limitare i cambiamenti climatici di cui noi stessɜ siamo la causa. Avere un piano per adattarci alle conseguenze delle nostre azioni è semmai la notizia meno cattiva

@anna If I remember correctly (I watched it about 12 years ago), it doesn’t really get better from there and the rest of the second season is a bit of a drag. It’s fine to stop watching there. There’s a big character development at the very end though

I find it weird when people in queer circles, mainly aro/ace, treat certain concepts (e.g. microlabels) as something whose reality has to be proved and vouched for by some vague authority.

Is aegosexuality real? Is amatonormativity true? Has aphobia been recognized?

My answer to all of that is: Those words describe models of reality, and they are “true” as far as the people using them find that they accurately portray a facet of real life. You don’t need validation to use them.
